Martha Stewart Brings Pastel Aesthetic to MakerBot | PCMag.com
Sure, you can already 3D print things on your MakerBot in a wide range of colors — from bright orange to glow-in-the dark green. But those looking for something a little classier now have a few new color options — and theyre all approved by none other than Martha Stewart. The domestic diva has struck a licensing deal with MakerBot for three new filament shades and a collection of 3D-printable designs.
Besides the new filament colors, Stewart and her team of designers are working with MakerBots design team to produce new collections of printables for the 3D-printer companys digital store. The idea is that you can purchase and download these Stewart-branded designs, then print them on your MakerBot Replicator.

The Story Behind The Web’s Weirdest, Hardest Riddle | Co.Labs
In 2004 a small website appeared that contained a browser-based game called Notpron, which has since been hailed as “the hardest riddle on the Internet.” It consists of a series of 140 puzzles and riddles that get progressively more complex. Completing the game requires knowledge in a diverse range of fields including HTML programming, sound and graphics editing, music apprehension, research skills, and even remote viewing.
Out of the 17 million players that have attempted the game in the last decade only 31 have completed it. That’s just one in every 550,000 players–or, to put it another way, the chances you’ll be hit by lightning once in your lifetime are 41 times greater than they are for you solving Notpron.
To celebrate the games 10th anniversary I asked David Münnich, Notpron’s creator, to go down the rabbit hole of how and why it was created–and what it all means.

The Natural Moss on This Wooden Bookcase Is Preserved Forever in Resin | Gizmodo
Your usual piece of wooden furniture—cut, sanded, painted— bears little resemblance to the tree it came from. So to create the Undergrowth bookcase, Italian design duo Alcarol deliberately took the opposite tack, preserving the unhewn edges of their lumber—moss and lichen and all.
The oak wood itself comes from logs found in the undergrowth of the Dolomite mountains in Italy. Once cut into planks, the woods natural mossy edges were cast in resin, a technique often used to make moss jewelry. Alcarol then stacked three planks together to create a bookcase, each shelf decorated with what looks like a tiny terrarium.
